The St. Johns bridge has been photographed by so many amazingly talented people that it's nearly impossible to take any shots that haven't been taken a million times already... so, I didn't even try. I just wandered with a friend and a camera and I had a phenomenal time. And, sure, I took a few cliche shots of the bridge... but I also took a few I've never seen elsewhere.
Most of the shots I took that day weren't of the bridge though. St Johns is a really quirky part of Portland, and if it hadn't been for 95 degree weather that day, I'd have taken many more shots than I did.
I took plenty of photos of stripes - as is my style - and a few fake flag looking shots too...
And then there's this, which I think is too cute for words...
Here's the entire photo set. Click any thumbnail for a larger view.
I'll be excited to head back to St. Johns. I bet the bridge looks amazing at sunrise.

Awe... Damn. Did you get a broken link? I recently redesigned Jalpuna from scratch (hand-coded it all too!) and I downgraded from MovableType 4 to version 3 because 4 was such a sluggish piece of digital dung (and I've found the new v5 to be even worse).
Apparently, changing my MT install changed the location of some links.
